CHILD RESCUE UNIT
SUMMER CAMP
Vera who heads up the Unit wrote –
We sent a group of children to a camp in the Carpathian Mountains. It gave the children an opportunity to rest from the constant stress of war, air alerts and explosions. At camp they experienced a sense of safety, peace and simply enjoyed being children again.
The difference between the children when they left home and when they returned after 21 days of rest was remarkable. Their faces were brighter, they were more relaxed and emotionally restored.
Photo below of four children is after they returned home from camp.
